I always know that my life is heading back to normal when I start cooking again. That is, if you count making smoothies as cooking.
I keed. I keed. (Sort of.)
I really have cooked in our new house. Used the stove at the very least. Made a minimal sweet potato hash. And a delightful brown rice pilaf. Oh, and a loverly pasta dish or two. And honestly, am still getting the hang of our new stove. It only took me 3 years in the last house.
But I digress.
The last three mornings have been filled with the gloriousness that is a smoothie. And, as you are all aware, my favorite morning treat.
This morning I wanted to keep it simple. Which rarely happens, as I am a huge proponent of throwing-every-piece-of-fruit-you-have-in-the-house kind of smoothie. Today’s concoction: 5 ingredients total. That’s a whopping 6 ingredients less than what I usually do. What can I say. I really like fruit.
- 1-2 plums sliced
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup green grapes
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 2 tbs ground flax meal
Combine all ingredients in a blender.
Process until smooth.
Put a straw in it and drink up!
