Project: Food Budget 2.0

Does thinking about how much money you spend on food each week make you a little crazy? Do you wish you could stick to a specific budget, but aren’t sure you can do it alone?

Let’s do it together. For the next 52 weeks {give or take}. Who knows. We might learn a thing or two in the process.

And no, you are not having deja vu. This is the second iteration of the project. It will be going for an entire year to take into account seasonal spending {holidays, summertime, etc}.

Project will be starting October 6th, 2011. You are welcome to join in at any time!

The Details:

  1. Choose a weekly budget for yourself {and your family}. Don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be set it stone.
  2. Write at least one blog post per week about your efforts. You can include your weekly menu, what you plan to spend each week, how many people you are feeding, and even how much each particular meal costs. It’s up to you.
  3. Publish your post every Thursday with a link to Project: Food Budget and a list of participating blogs.
  4. Place a graphic on the top of each post. You are also welcome to post it on your blog’s sidebar to show that you are a participating blog.

If you have any questions, or would like to take part in the Project: Food Budget challenge, please email me.

I won’t be able to start Oct. 6, but I do want to join in this project. So put me down! Thanks. :)

I know this is ridiculous but I was having a hard time deciding whether or not to start my food budget with you because I was distracted by the delicious looking advert for noodles in the corner of this page. I think that is my problem, I eat out far too often because I’m attracted to pictures of food! I’m in!
