Pear Nectarine Smoothie Machine

Clearly I’m on a smoothie kick. How could I not be?! It’s so stinkin’ easy to make in theΒ  morning. So refreshing. And so damn tasty.

I’m not going to lie. This smoothie was the result of what I had on hand: pears, nectarines, and a handful of spinach for good measure.

I thought that it could be similar to a smoothie I had the other day: peach and pear. While it was delightful, it was loaded with enough sugar to make my head spin. I decided that the fresh version would be way better. Except for the fact that I could only find good nectarines in the store.

You win some. You loose some.

And dammit, this one is a winner. With green power, to boot.

  1. Reply I have a bunch of kale in my fridge right now for the sole purpose of making smoothies. And kale chips, can't forget the chips! I might try this recipe and sub it for the spinach.
    1. Reply kale would be a great sub!
  2. Reply Just made it. Excellent. Thanks for putting my new vitamix to work. My favorite is the plum one you did recently, make it all the time.
    1. Reply i have to say, i'm a little jealous that you are using a vitamix! particularly since my blender crapped out yesterday. glad you're enjoying the smoothies!
