I feel like my smoothie obsession has gone from healthy (and delicious) to I’ve got a serious problem and should start considering another option for breakfast. I’ll consider it … while I sip on a tall glass of vanilla almond smoothie.
All joking aside, I wanted to play around with adding a dairy-free yogurt into the mix.
So, this smoothie is the result of that playing.
I’m not sure I’m a huge fan of yogurt in smoothies, but have a feeling that may have more to do with the kind of yogurt I was using versus an actual distaste of yogurt in smoothies. But that will require a lot of testing.
And I’m 99% sure I’m up for the challenge.
Vanilla Almond Smoothie
- 3/4 cup frozen banana chunks
- 2 tbs almond butter
- 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt*
- 3/4 cup almond milk
Combine all ingredients into a blender and pulse a few times to break up the banana chunks.
Pulse on high for 30-60 seconds, or until smooth.
