What could be a more enjoyable way to start your day than with a deliciously green smoothie in hand and a happy kiddo laughing and giggling next to you?
Unless, of course, we’re talking about the bowl of cookie butter and pretzel thins I just downed in response to an afternoon full of toddler antics. Because THAT was freakin’ fantastic.
Our morning was filled with laughter and giggles and “Mama, more smoothie please!” It was also filled with playtime and kisses galore. But our afternoon? That was filled with a heaping cupful of misery, ear curdling screams, and as many toddler antics The Babe could cram into the span of 3 hours.
Which culminated in a puddle of pee and a very unhappy house.
Fecking. Toddlers. Man.
Do you think making another one of these grape + spinach smoothies would effectively give us a do-over for the day? Because I’m just about willing to do anything to make that happen.
Grape + Spinach Smoothie
- 1 cup green grapes
- 2/3 cup frozen banana chunks or 1 medium sized banana
- 1 cup spinach loosely packed
- 1/2 cup milk or liquid of choice
- Combine all ingredients into a blender and pulse a few times to break up banana chunks.Pulse on high for 30-60 seconds, or until smooth.Pour into your favorite cup (or simply add a straw) and sip your troubles away.
