Can a setback really make everything better?

The above quote pretty much sums up the last few days of my life. (Well, and this.)

The coolest part of it all was seeing firsthand just how far The Husband and I have come. Our life, compared to where it was a year ago (hell, even six months ago), is drastically different. We are happier, less stressed out, and way better at dealing with hiccups along the way.

Truth be told, I’m not sure that we would have been able to see any of that progress had it not been for those setbacks. Setbacks that, in the past, would have derailed us and sent us both into a miserable tailspin for weeks on end.

I’m proud of how quickly we recognized what was going on. Because the minute we did, every little niggling thing that was throwing us off resolved itself.

Do I think that a setback can really make everything better?

No.

But it can certainly help you take stock and see how far you’ve come.
