Every now and again, you need to hit pause.

Every now and then I feel like I’m just going through the motions.

I wake up tired.

I go to sleep tired.

And I’m tired every moment in between.

Perhaps my body is finally coming down from the fight or flight response now that our sleeping is back on track. Perhaps it has more to do with being constantly ON between parenting, cooking, cleaning, working and putting in late nights to blog. Or perhaps it’s because I’m eating like crap.

Cookies, potato chips, soda.

All have taken up residence in my house AND belly in the last few weeks. I’ve probably gained 5-7 lbs over a 3 week period. My pants are getting snug and I’m feeling super sluggish as a result.

I don’t stress eat, I eat when exhausted.

So today, I decided that I needed to hit pause and just allow myself to hit pause. I left my laptop on my desk and hunkered down on the couch for some relaxation. It was just what the doctor ordered.

Now, to work on taking a (prolonged) pause with my snacking.
