It’s been a broken record kind of day.

“Please listen to mama.”

“Mama asked you to do something.”

“You’re not listening.”

“Mama’s getting VERY frustrated and needs to walk away.”

“I’m not asking again.”

“Mama is not happy right now.”

All things uttered by me today. Repeatedly, and to no avail. I’m pretty sure The Babe knew that I was exhausted and feeling like crap, because she laid on the sass THICK. The icing on top of the sass-cake (or, simply put, toddlerhood), she flat our refused her nap.

Insert hysterical crying emoji here.

I am eternally grateful that The Husband was able to come home and take The Babe on an adventure (i.e.—put her in the car to force a nap and then took her to the park) so that I could get a break and a much needed nap of my own.

Fingers crossed (and all of the happy toddler juju you can send my way) that this was a one-off kind of thing, caused by a late night out at the Arts Fest and that we return to our regularly scheduled fun ASAP.
