One of my favorite things to do with The Babe (outside of snuggling), is reading.
I love how excited she gets for books. It’s been the coolest thing ever to watch her go from just wanting to look at the colors, to enjoying the stories, to full-on interacting with the books. She even takes to grabbing a book off her bookshelf, climbing up in her chair, and reading to herself. The first time I saw her do that, I just about exploded with amazement.
These days, The Babe has a few favorite books that she grabs for over and over again. Here are a few of my personal favorites (because let’s be real, it takes a special book that you can still enjoy after reading it for the eleven thousandth time in a row).
- Giraffe’s Can’t Dance
- Kiss Goodnight
- Moomin’s Lift-the-Flap Hide and Seek
- Goodnight Moon
- I am Amelia Earhardt
- Mama’s Right Here
- In Grandma’s Arms
- The Pout-Pout Fish
- Each Peach Pear Plum
- Love Monster
- Everything Leslie Patricelli
What are YOUR favorite children’s books? Any that are on the top of your list? Any to stay the hell away from?
